Sarah Bernard
Sarah Bernard
Originally from the Beauce region, Sarah first began dancing there at the age of eight. Until she was 19, she explored a variety of styles, including jazz, funk, hip-hop, and tap, while refining her skills through workshops and competitions. By age 14, she was already choreographing and teaching dance.
After completing her studies in literature, she moved to Montreal, where she discovered Zumba and reconnected with her passion for dance. In September 2019, after five years as a student, she completed her B1 (Basic 1) training to become a Zumba instructor and began teaching in 2020. Since then, she has completed R3 (Rhythms 3) and Take the Lead training, while also participating in several jam sessions and master classes.
Virtual teaching gave her the opportunity to expand her knowledge and refine her technique by taking classes with renowned instructors from around the world. She loves finding or creating diverse and stimulating choreography that allows her students to travel through music.
For Sarah, Zumba brings together everything she loves about dance: a non-competitive workout, a chance to move freely, a space to be yourself, a moment to leave worries behind and reconnect with your body, and a way to practise self-love—all while having fun.
