Michelle Saghbini

Michelle Saghbini, a versatile Lebanese-Canadian dancer, born and raised in Montreal, has been passionate about dance since childhood. After starting with ballet, she explored various styles including jazz, gumboot, hip-hop, and heels, in which she specialized. Teaching became her true vocation, notably through the study of the origins of high heels in Persian history, in connection with her Middle Eastern heritage. At the same time, she studied fashion design at Cégep Marie-Victorin, developing skills in styling and costume creation, which she used for several artistic productions.

In 2021, she co-founded the dance company Aura Montreal, dedicated to providing a safe space for dancers exploring the art of high heels. Michelle has also made her mark on local and international stages with her choreographies for festivals and competitions and has enriched her skills by traveling to Canada, the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon. Her dance philosophy is to reveal everyone’s individuality. She continues to inspire her students while pursuing her own path of learning and personal growth.
