Born and raised in Montreal, Tara “Funkylicious” Amédée is a passionate dancer driven by creativity, self-expression, and a love for the stage. From a young age, dance has been at the heart of her life.

In 2017, she discovered waacking, a dance style born from the disco era, which perfectly aligned with her funky vibe and deep connection to music. This discovery marked a turning point in her artistic and personal journey.

Since then, Tara has competed in numerous dance events, performed at major Montreal festivals, and most importantly, experienced a profound personal evolution through dance—an experience that now fuels her teaching.

With enthusiasm and authenticity, Tara shares her passion by encouraging others to explore their own movement and expression in a space of freedom and positivity.
