Geneviève Lauzon
A movement educator, Geneviève has been teaching group classes for over 20 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in dance from UQAM and has built a flourishing career as a professional dancer and choreographer. She has performed across Quebec, Canada, and internationally, and has directed dancers, singers, and circus artists in large-scale productions such as the Just for Laughs Festival, Montreal’s 375th anniversary, Terra Karnaval, Les Petits Chanteurs de Laval, and several musicals. Deeply engaged in site-specific dance, Geneviève creates contemporary and multidisciplinary works that have been presented at the Quartier des Spectacles, Festival Quartiers Danses, and on tour in Quebec and France.
In 2008, seeking tools to enrich her dance training, she discovered yoga, Pilates, and HIIT training—three disciplines she has continued to practice ever since.
Alongside her artistic career, Geneviève shares her passion for movement through teaching dance (contemporary, jazz, Broadway), yoga, and fitness training. Curious and eager to learn, she has completed multiple health and wellness certifications, including Posture-Mobility-Flexibility (Spinal Movement), two yoga teacher certifications in Hatha and Vinyasa (Studio Mile End), and a Stick Mobility trainer certification. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a specialization in Athletic Therapy at Concordia University, in order to better support dancers, athletes of all levels, and seniors in injury prevention and rehabilitation.
As a teacher, Geneviève offers dynamic classes with creative sequences, where kindness and precise guidance foster a motivating, safe, and accessible experience for everyone.
